rhubarb opens the doors of its first U.S.A. site, a new Restaurant & Bar concept, named “Wild Ink” in New York’s Hudson Yards, in March 2019.
Located on the fifth floor of the newly developed 20 Hudson Yards on Manhattan’s West Side. Wild Ink is a concept created by rhubarb; inspired by a chef’s travel journal, where recipes and ideas are jotted down and cultures collide to create original and surprising dishes.
Supported and managed by a team of brilliant NYC chefs, led by Head Chef Peter Jin, Wild ink is an exceptional food experience.
Designed by Robert Angell Design International, the 5,800 sq.ft, space takes inspiration from its Hudson Yards location and the original majestic New York Penn Station building, but with Eastern influences. The restaurant and bar is light, bright and grand in form; with natural textured materials, opulent tones, teak timber screens and oriental features, seamlessly blending industrial West with authentic East.
In 2020, rhubarb will also open an events space at the top of 30 Hudson Yards, including an expansive observation deck – the highest manmade deck in the western hemisphere.
UK meets US, East meets West, as rhubarb brings New York one of the exciting destination opening of 2019.
