First came the musical. Then the movies. And now you’re invited to MAMMA MIA! THE PARTY.
The rhubarb team are proud to be the exclusive catering partner for this new immersive theatrical dining experience, opening within London’s iconic The O2, in September 2019!
MAMMA MIA! THE PARTY will transform the specially-adapted venue into a beautiful taverna on the island of Skopelos, where much of the first MAMMA MIA! film was shot. Guests will feel as if they’re right in the heart of a Greek island paradise, sitting around tables in the taverna’s courtyard complete with a fountain, olive trees and bougainvillea.
Nikos and his wife Kate run this exotic and wonderful restaurant together with their family and friends. Told through dialogue and ABBA songs, a warm, romantic and funny story evolves and unfolds during the evening and takes place around the guests as they sit at their tables enjoying a delicious Greek meal. The evening ends with the main floor transforming into a 1970s disco, where audience members are welcome to stay and sing and dance to ABBA.
Starting with a mouth-watering mezze selection, you’ll feast on traditional starters followed by succulent meat dishes* paired with tempting sides, ending on a deliciously sweet note with authentic Greek desserts. The taverna also has its own bar serving a varied selection of red, white and rosé wines and champagne.
The London version of MAMMA MIA! THE PARTY, will be directed by Roine Söderlundh, and has been specially adapted for the UK by renowned writer, comedian and broadcaster Sandi Toksvig.
MAMMA MIA! THE PARTY
Performances will take place on Monday and Wednesday-Sunday at 7:30pm and on Saturday and Sunday at 1pm. Tickets to this incredible event are available to book online from £135 (plus booking fees) and include admission as well as a delicious meal.
